Hackthorpe
Thirty individual homes rounding off a beautiful village beside Lowther Castle, on the edge of the Lake District National Park.

Hackthorpe is a collection of thirty dwellings rounding off the edge of a beautiful village — a mixture of three-bedroom semi-detached houses and detached bungalows.

We used a combination of local limestone and render, highlighted with timber cladding — and gave every house its own individual colour scheme.

The village sits on the side of the Lowther Estate and Lowther Castle, right on the edge of the Lake District National Park — from your house you can walk the castle grounds, with miles of cycleways and walkways through woods and beside beautiful rivers.

All under natural grey-green slate roofs, with anthracite windows — completed, sold, and settled into the village.
