Beautiful homes in beautiful locations

Our story began in 2002, as a high-end joinery company in Jersey. A reputation for quality and attention to detail took us from individual commissions to whole-house projects, and eventually to developing houses of our own — one-off, bespoke homes at the very top of the island’s market.

In 2016 we came home to Cumbria and started Stoneswood Homes, bringing that experience in luxury housebuilding with us.

The principle has not changed: design and build unique homes that deliver exceptional living in prime locations across Cumbria. In a world of mass production, our excitement comes from creating something individual — homes shaped around how people really live.

We are now building at a greater scale, though the philosophy travels with us. A larger site is an opportunity as much as anything — room for distinct areas within one development, each with its own character, materials and outlook, and a layout shaped by the landscape it sits in. Our hope is to create places that feel as though they have grown over time.

Scale changes what we can do. It does not change how we do it. Every home still gets the same attention the first one did.
